Description

St. Josephs Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiac Surgery team in an office-based role located in Syracuse, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP interested in cardiac surgery to work in a collaborative and fast paced outpatient setting with no operating room responsibilities.

Position Details

• Manage patients with chronic and acute cardiac conditions
• Conduct patient evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and perform in-office procedures during post-operative follow up visits
• Monitor and manage post-procedure and access-site complications
• Work collaboratively with cardiac surgeons to perform physical exams and diagnostic testing

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• NYS licensure (or eligibility)
• DEA certification
• ACLS/BLS certification
• Cardiac, cardiothoracic, or surgical experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based care model

Compensation

• Competitive salary range: $124,000-$152,835 based on experience
• Starting Bonus: $5,000
• Relocation Bonus: $5,000
• Salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, quality incentives, or other forms of cash compensation. Final compensation may vary based on experience, training, and market factors in accordance with State law.
