MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a General Surgeon to join its premier surgical team in Mason City, IA. This dynamic, high-volume, technologically advanced practice offers the full spectrum of surgical services.
Opportunity Highlights
- Join the team of 3 General Surgeons, 1 Acute/Trauma General Surgeon, and 2 PAs
- Hybrid General/Acute Trauma Surgeon model- offering a mix of elective surgeries & clinic, as well as acute/trauma surgery
- Full scope: Surgical (laparoscopic, open, robotic), Endoscopy, Rounding & Clinic/ED consults
- Block OR time
- 2 DaVinci XI Robots
- Call- 7-8 days/month
- EMR: EPIC
Benefits & Incentives
- 2-year guaranteed base: $462,000/year + production; production based starting year 3
- $100,000 Recruitment Incentive
- Moving allowance- up to $15,000

- 34 days of PTO when on base; 40 days of PTO when on production

Qualifications
- BC/BE- Must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible
- H1B & J1 candidates encouraged to apply
- All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of references, background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.
- Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program
- Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
- Above average communication skills.
- Ability to work with a team.
- Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
