Encompass Health seeks a Healthcare Chief Executive Officer to lead its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Birmingham, AL. The CEO will set strategic direction, ensure exceptional patient-centered care, and drive clinical, operational, and financial performance. Responsibilities include leading an interdisciplinary leadership team, overseeing quality, compliance, and budgeting, and cultivating physician and community relationships. The CEO champions a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement while advancing growth, innovation, and staff development in a complex post-acute care environment.
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the hospital’s clinical, operational, and financial performance
Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across all rehabilitation programs and services
Develop and execute long-term growth plans aligned with Encompass Health’s mission and standards
Lead, mentor, and develop an interdisciplinary leadership team and clinical staff
Oversee budgeting, financial management, and regulatory compliance for the facility
Drive quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and accreditation readiness
Build strong relationships with physicians, payers, community partners, and corporate leadership
Promote a culture of integrity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Monitor key performance metrics and implement action plans to achieve targets
Represent the hospital in community, professional, and industry forums
