Description
Walgreens is seeking a Healthcare Services Pharmacist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in our retail pharmacy. In this role, you will verify and dispense prescriptions, provide immunizations, and conduct medication therapy management and health screenings. You’ll counsel patients on medications and chronic conditions, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure regulatory compliance. The pharmacist will lead pharmacy workflow, mentor technicians, and support store health initiatives, while upholding Walgreens’ customer-first, inclusive culture focused on community care and innovation.Verify, dispense, and check accuracy of prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations
Provide patient counseling on medications, side effects, adherence, and disease state management
Administer immunizations and support public health and wellness initiatives
Conduct Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and clinical services such as health screenings
Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare teams to optimize patient therapy
Oversee pharmacy workflow and supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Manage inventory, including controlled substances, to ensure accuracy and minimize waste
Process third-party insurance claims and resolve billing issues
Maintain accurate clinical and regulatory documentation
Promote Walgreens health programs and support a customer-first, inclusive culture
Prescription verification and dispensing
