St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a full-time AP/CP Surgical Pathologist or Cytopathologist to join our expanding, hospital employed team in Syracuse, NY. Position Details:

• High-volume, unique case load; with a large number of surgical breast cases
• Opportunity to oversee a broad range of pathology cases, including:
• AP/CP
• Cytology
• Organ donation evaluations
• Cardiothoracic transfusion/blood bank support
• Frozen section analysis
• Limited specimen grossing
• Limited neonatology cases
• No adult autopsy cases

Schedule:

• Shared rotational call averages 1:6 (minimal overnight call)
• Occasional Saturday call

Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Pathologist
• Completion of a Surgical Pathology and/or a Cytopathology Fellowship
• NYS license (or eligible)
• Strong clinical and communication skills

Recruitment Package:

• Base Salary: $400-$427K base depending on experience
• Starting Bonus: $25K
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $25K
• CME time & $4,500 annual expense allowance
