Were seeking a passionate and driven Full-Time Physician to join our Pulmonary/Critical Care team at Trinity Health IHA Medical Group located in Pontiac, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of our community while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Opportunity Details

• Position Type:Full-Time (1.0)
• Schedule: 1:4 inpatient ICU coverage (including weekends); remaining time dedicated to outpatient clinic and procedures.
• Location: Oakland, Michigan
• Specialty:Pulmonary/Critical Care
• Clinical Programs: Participation in regional lung nodule management clinics, supported by new robotic bronchoscopy technology.
• Team Size: Part of a local 4?physician ICU call group and a broader Southeast Michigan team of 15 physicians and 6 APPs.
• Call Requirements: 1:4 call rotation, split into 7-day blocks while rounding in the ICU; overnight call taken from home

Requirements

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine
• Fellowship trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
• Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA license
• ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Providing direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, as a Pulmonary consultant, or in the Pulmonary/Sleep office
• Performing diagnostic bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and pleural disease management procedures
• Interpreting pulmonary function tests
• Participating in teaching and mentoring
• Documenting in Epic EMR
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
• Interprofessional collaboration to advance screening and management of pulmonary and thoracic diseases
