Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Optima Mental Healthcare Services, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting virtual and/or in-person therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families.
- Assessing client needs and developing personalized treatment plans that address complex family dynamics.
- Facilitating communication between family members to resolve conflicts and improve relationships.
- Providing therapeutic interventions for a variety of issues, such as:
- Alcohol and substance abuse.
- Physical and psychological abuse.
- Grief and loss.
- Job-related stress.
- Challenges related to blended families, including remarriage and adjustment to separation or divorce.
- Communication difficulties between family members.
- Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will primarily involve adult clients and the child and adolescent populations, focusing on a wide array of mental health challenges that families face. You will play an integral role in creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions, ultimately guiding them toward practical solutions and healthier life choices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality therapy and improving patient outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing a remote caseload effectively.
Preferred Experience
